ENAn enlightened client who loves cars and knows what he wants on one hand. A sloping plot at the very edge of the forest in the suburb of Prague on the other. Every architect’s dream.
Four other architects join in the small private competition to design clients new home, but our concept appealed to him the most. So we rolled our sleeves and together went thru excruciating as well as fun phases of this project from building permit, to execution interior design and collaudation.
The concept is truly simple – a wooden structure with a green roof, carefully planted in the sloping plot. South facade of the living floor is fully glazed, opening up towards spacious terrace with phenomenal view to the garden and Vltava valley. All technical areas and huge garage are cleverly hidden under the terrace in embedded part of the house.
